P-Files and the CBLPlease note: You must use Mike's disk not the one you
purchased.
Baseball for DOS
Unzip the emailed attachment to a floppy
disk.
Part One: Installing the datadisk on your hard drive. (Done only
once a year)
Insert the disk in your disk drive. go to a dos prompt
ie. c:\ cd into your apba baseball
directory (likely called bb20\baseball) md cbl1999.ddr
cd cbl1999.ddr xcopy a:*.* /s
(Where a: is the name of your
diskdrive)
Part Two: Playing games which creates your
P-file (Done each time you play a series)
Play your series out and press U for update after each game,
note if you did the above correctly you do not need the floopy
disk to play the games, as cbl1999
should show up when you start apba baseball for dos.
When series is completed a p-file is created in
your cbl1999.ddr directory. The p-file will be called something like
p012047.s98.
Then send an email to Mike and the opposing
manager with this p-file attached to the message.
Once you have stats back from Mike that he got
your p-file and updated your stats just delete this file prior to playing
your next series. It can be deleted
in windows buy highlighting the file name a selecting delete or in dos go
to the cbl1999.ddr directory a
typing del p012047.s98.

Windows
Unzip the attachment to a floppy disk.

harddrive. (Done only once a year)
Insert the disk in your disk drive. run advanced
draft select - load datadisk click on -
Install datadisk select - drive a: it will be near the bottom
of the file names on the left side click on begin install (note
if the file already exists give it a new directory name) "Remember your
directory name" The directory will be in your c:\bbw\"directory
name".wdd
go to a dos prompt cd \
md cbl1999.ddr cd cbl1999.ddr xcopy a:*.* /s (Where a: is the name of your
diskdrive)
Part Two: Play out your series.
Part three: Run MAKPFILE (You must have this program - contact Mike if you
don't) set windows drive
to c:\bbw\"directory
name".wdd organization org

set dos baseball drive to
c:\cbl1999.ddr
Click on OK When asked say yes remove the box scores.
The p-file will be called something like
p012047.s98. it will
be in your c:\cbl1999 directory Then
send an email to Mike and the opposing manager with this p-file attached to
