Stealing: Roberts or Biggio with two out in the sixth or later, Twins one run up to two runs down. Giles or Furcal in ninth if needed. Pinch hitting: Use the bench as you would if they were yours in the later innings. Pinch running: If the game is on the line late, bring in any F runner for Piazza or Varitek, as long as you still have a catcher. Defence: If Twins are ahead after their half of the 8th, make the OF LWalker, Mateo and Giles, and have Mientkiewicz at first. Blowouts: When the lead gets to 6 or more either way in the 6th inning or later, put Cuddyer at 3B, Varitek at C, Lawton at DH, Mateo in RF, Sheets at SS. Pitching It's a four-man rotation of Ortiz, Radke/Santana, Johnson and Millwood. Pettitte replaces each of them for a portion of the season and fills in the additional starts needed. For all series vs Gnitecki opponents, the first three starters listed are for the Away [A] half and the second three are for the Home [H] half of the series.
