CBL Stat Report - Week 27 - October 4, 2003

A disappointing 29 game reported in this week. That leaves 51 to go to finish the 2003 season and move on to the playoffs. The report this week will be rudimentary. I will concentrate on a final report, perhaps next week, if we can complete the season. The following games remain to be reported:

Cincinnati :(10) Tex 2, Stl 4, Atl 4
Atlanta : (8) Stl 4, Bos 4
Cleveland :(8) Ari 2, Fla 2, Hou 4
San Francisco :(6) Ana 3, LAD 3
Milwaukee :(4) Ana 2, Tex 2
Florida :(3) Kan 3
Kansas City : (3) Fla 3
Texas :(3) Ana 3 (series 11?)
Arizona :(3) Ana 3
Oakland : (3) Cin 3

Sixteen teams have completed their home season on schedule. Eight in each associaton. The Wesenberg has reported 96.91% of their games while the Gnitecki is at 98.15%. Congratulations to those teams and thanks for making my job easier and more enjoyable. Ten teams have finished their season's entirely. Five in each association. Four Wesenberg teams have 30 games to report and six Gnitecki teams have 21. Who will finish first?

Jan is looking strong. She has to win seven of her remaining 12 games. She has four on the road against Peter's Reds. She has beaten the Reds six times in ten games so far. Four at home against each Brian's Cards (7-3) and Chuck's Red Sox (3-7). Adrian can only be a spectator at this juncture.

Steve's Athletics need to sweep Jim's mighty Twins at home to tie Steve's ;) Tigers. They we could have the battle of two Steves. Wouldn't that go down in baseball lore? History is not on Steve's side, that would be the Oakland Steve, as he is 3 and 6 versus the Twins in 2003. It could be the miracle by the bay, however.

All for this week. Don't forget to root for the Cubs. Too bad about the Braves Jan.
